Two people, a view, and nobody else to worry about.

Elopements are my favourite sort of wedding. There’s no schedule to herd, no seating plan to referee — just the two of you, a Cornish view, and a bit of nerve.

Most couples I photograph around Penzance keep it simple: a short ceremony somewhere with a view, a walk, a pint, home by four. I tag along for two hours and photograph all of it, including the bit where you both exhale.

Wind is included at no extra cost. It’s Cornwall — the hair photographs are compulsory.
